New Hampshire Housing Grants Resources
New Hampshire Housing Grants
“New Hampshire Housing” administers the Federal Housing Choice Voucher Rental Assistance Program all throughout the state for New Hampshire housing grants. The rental assistance program is responsible for providing subsidies for households who still have existing rental stocks. The units are carefully selected by the home owners in compliance with the existing housing quality standards. The ultimate goal of the Housing Choice Voucher Program is to provide only the most decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing to low income families and individuals of New Hampshire.
The eligibility and assistance given by the program is solely based on their income and specific household size. In this program, the deserving household pays the portion of the adjusted income towards rent and utilities while the New Hampshire Housing is responsible for shouldering the remainder directly to the landlord. Eligible applicants must have incomes that are below thirty percent of the median income.
Other Housing programs of the organization include Emergency Housing Program, short term (around three months) assistance for rental payments; Mainstream program that provides assistance to very low income non-elderly people with disabilities; and ACCESS Program that provides assistance with the rent or for the first-time home ownership.

New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA)
Since 1983, the organization has been around to provide affordable housing, economic development and New Hampshire housing grants for the benefit of very low to moderate income locals of New Hampshire.
It has Housing Future Funds (HFF) for grants through the Tax Credit Program. It aims to assist certain community-based non-profit housing organizations. The grants given through the HFF are used to build the capacities of participating non-profit organizations to secure financing, search for opportunities, test fresh and more innovative new solutions for deserving locals.
Aside from this, the Housing Future Funds provides operational grants as well as technical assistance to non-profit housing organizations. The operational grants pave the way for the grantees to concentrate more on housing development along with educational outreach programs and processes to families and individuals who are in dire need of quality housing units. Some affordable housing advocacy efforts were made possible by the technical assistance part of the HFF Program. It is implemented in the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. The funds are widely used in enhancing technical capacities of the grantees. The program is supported by different reliable organizations like the HF Housing Finance Authorities, and other generous contributing banks.
