North Carolina is a state located in the south-eastern United States. It is the 28th most extensive and the 10th most populous of the 50 US states. It is the state that has 100 counties. North Carolina has been chosen as the third best state for business by the Forbes magazine and second best by Chief Executive Officer Magazine.

North Carolina has the ability to give back to the residents by offering several grants. Some of which include North Carolina housing grants, disability grants, and health wellness grants.

North Carolina Housing Grants Finance Agency

This is a self-supporting public agency whose main mission is to create affordable housing opportunities for North Carolina residents whose needs are not met by the market.

This agency has financed more than 201,000 affordable homes since its creation in 1973 by the General Assembly. The total affordable homes built are already equivalent to $12.8 billion.

Financing of this North Carolina housing grants agency is provided through the sale of tax-exempt bonds and management of state and federal tax credit programs. Financing is also made possible through the federal HOME program and the state Housing Trust Fund.

This agency’s financial accounts are all audited annually by an independent auditing firm.

They are an agency committed to values for the economic development of both the residents and the state. They seek long-term solutions and continuously pursue new capitals for North Carolina housing grants.

North Carolina Housing Coalition

This North Carolina housing grant is a private, non-profit membership organization that works to provide decent and affordable housing. This is to promote self-determination for the residents and build stable communities for low to moderate income individuals and families.

Their mission is to lead a campaign for housing that can ensure working families, senior citizens, people in crisis, and persons with disabilities live with dignity and equal opportunity.

This mission is accomplished by supporting their members and building strong partnerships.

Two of the specific programs of the coalition include Carolina Homeless Information Network (CHIN) and HUD OTAG Program.

Homes4NC

Homes4NC is a housing grants foundation created by North Carolina Association of REALTORS. This is for their care for their community and to address the ongoing problem of lack of affordable and decent homes to working families.

This North Carolina housing grants foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose main purpose is to increase safe, decent, and affordable housing for the North Carolina residents. They provide grants to non-profit organizations that help low to moderate income individuals and families with their housing needs.

Since their humble beginnings in 2004, they have already made grants amounting to more than $253,000 to 58 housing organizations across the state.
