Washington state offers several grants for its residents. Some of which include small business grants, educational grants, and Washington housing grants.
Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC)
WSHFC is a publicly accountable, self-supporting team dedicated to increase affordable housing units and expand the availability of quality community services for the Washington residents.
This commission has been helping communities through the distribution of housing and non-profit community facilities for 28 years now. The funded programs include single-family mortgage loans, non-profit facilities and housing units, and multifamily housing units financed either through tax-exempt bonds or tax credits.

Spokane Housing Authority (SHA)
SHA was created in 1971 by the City of Spokane. They serve the counties of Spokane, Lincoln, Stevens, Pend Oreille, and Whitman.
SHA’s mission is to be able to provide, develop, and promote quality affordable housing options for the residents of the said counties. This Washington housing grants authority’s vision is to bring the communities together for the facilitation of quality affordable housing options. They do so through leveraging funds, promoting partnerships, and enhancement of collaboration with different other organizations and authorities.
SHA firmly believes in their slogan, which is “Providing Housing – Improving Lives”. They annually provide housing assistance to over 5,000 low-income households. Help is through tenant-based assistance, SHA-owned apartment communities, and scattered-site housing.
SHA’s Housing Assistance programs include Public Housing and Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher. Both are available through HUD-subsidized units and properties. The rent that will be paid is dependent on the income of the household.

Housing Authority of Grant County for Washington Housing Grants
Being founded in the midst of World War II by the Grant County Board of Commissioners, the Housing Authority of Grant County is the first federally-funded public housing project.
This Washington housing grants authority is committed to make the residents more self-sufficient and creative through providing affordable housing, fostering home ownership, and helping each community grow.
